Paintballer

Hundreds of these off-road bikes were commissioned from Stoic Autos in the mid 2040s. A corporate speculator believed that the new wave of armed vehicles on the road would spark renewed interest in the late 20th century craze of paintballing. He was wrong – the roads offered too much challenge as it was, and few corporates had the cash to spare for team-bonding days. Many Paintballers were sold off on the cheap by the insolvency practitioners, and with a full load of ammunition and a single weapon computer they make decent dirt bikes.
Paintballer: Medium cycle, OR suspension, medium power plant, 2 OR tyres, cyclist, MG loaded with paint rounds F, smoke discharger B. Armour: F15, B15. Accel. 10, top speed 125, HC 2. 1,035 lbs., $4,800.

Paintballer “Real”: Replace paint ammo with normal, add SWC. $5,780.

Chaser
Crawford has recently created a new cycle product range, harking back to the glory days of British motor engineering. Their first entry into the road market is the Chaser. The primary tactic of a Chaser is to hang back and shoot at tyres. Your best response is to close rapidly, since the Chaser’s defence is weak.
Chaser: Medium cycle, heavy suspension, small cycle power plant, 2 PR tyres, cyclist, RR w/HEAT F, SWC. Armour: F12, B12. Accel. 5, top speed 95, HC 2. 1,070lbs., $4,589.

Turbo

The Turbo, manufactured by Kennington under licence from Polish manufacturer Krakow, is a fast unarmed cycle that relies on its sidecar for offence. All variants have a 3 second rocket booster taking the Turbo from 0-60 in three seconds. The Rocket variant’s favourite tactic is to close rapidly, volley its three heavy rockets at point-blank range, then flee, while the Tandem relies on the hand weapons of a passenger. The Turret’s MML gives it stamina at the expense of power.
Note: the standard rocket booster configuration offers acceleration of 10 for each of 3 consecutive turns.
Turbo: Medium cycle, heavy suspension, large cycle power plant with platinum catalysts and superconductors, 2 solid tyres, cyclist, HD brakes, jettison joining, 60 lbs. rocket booster. Armour: F25, B25, 2 10-point cycle wheelguards. Accel. 10, top speed 165, HC 2 (without sidecar). 1,050 lbs., $6,000.

Rayro
The Rayro from Crawford sports a light laser guiding 2 front-mounted armour-piercing medium rockets for that extra punch. Judicious use of component armour and excellent handling mean that the Rayro has a strong track record of survivability.
The Rayro VI offers 6 laser-guided AP mini rockets, for an awesome individual punch or sustained fire.
Rayro: Heavy cycle, heavy suspension, medium cycle power plant with superconductors, 2 solid radial tyres, cyclist, LL with LGL to 2 AP MRs F, flaming oil discharger B, SWC. Armour: F10, B10, 2 10-point cycle wheelguards, 10-point CA around each of driver and LL. Accel. 10, top speed 122.5, HC 3. 1,265 lbs., $10,810.
Personal equipment: 35 lbs.
Rayro VI: Replace MRs with 6 laser-guided AP MNRs. 1,285 lbs, $11,840.
Personal equipment: 15 lbs.

Kyudo
This rare import from Daimyo showcases the Japanese firm’s design philosophy: Heavy weapons, solid defence and proven reliability. The Kyudo is only available with its sidecar, and packs a serious punch. In extremis, the Kyudo can ditch the sidecar and flee behind the cover of its gas streamer, but to date, there is only one reported instance of a Kyudo driver resorting to this tactic.
Kyudo: Medium cycle, heavy suspension, medium cycle power plant with superconductors, 2 steelbelted radial PR tyres, cyclist, gas streamer loaded with paint B, jettison joinings, single weapon computer, spoiler. Armour: F20, B20, 10-point component armour around driver, 2 10-point cycle wheelguards. Accel. 10, top speed 135, HC 3. 1,075 lbs., $5,893.
Personal equipment: 25lbs., ½ space.
Kyudo sidecar: Heavy sidecar with carbon-aluminium frame, light suspension, steelbelted radial PR tyre, RL F, magazine with AP ammo and magazine switch. Armour: F8, B8, L6, R1, T1, U5. 749 lbs., $5,420.
Cycle/sidecar combination: Accel. 5, top speed 95, HC 3. 1,829 lbs., $10,863.

Engager
Lackhart Motors new N-series was designed by scion of the family Rich Lackhart, a professional courier. His designs focus on high speed, manoevrability and laser weaponry. The stock models come with significant features, although Lackhart has suggested that some stripped-down models may become available over time. The Engager is designed as a surveillance vehicle, either on its own or as a scout for a larger force.
The Police Engager is proving popular with security forces, and the Motorway Patrol have ordered a dozen. Its phenomenal accuracy and damage potential make it a potent tyre-killer.
Engager: Streamlined heavy cycle, OR suspension, medium cycle power plant with platinum catalysts and superconductors, 2 OR solid tyres, cyclist, LL F, paint discharger B, ABS, airdam, HD brakes, HD shocks,HRSWC, overdrive, spoiler. Personal equipment: 28 lbs., no space.

Boondoggler
Waydale’s Boondoggler was designed for getting through rough territory. The protection for the cyclist on this vehicle is second-to-none, while the laser-guided rockets provide a significant offensive capability. There is no significant weakness to this cycle. Waydale recently announced the Boondoggler 20, a division cycle that relies on speed and agility to avoid being hit, but it is yet to win any major championships.
Boondoggler: Heavy cycle with carbon-aluminium frame, OR suspension, medium cycle power plant with superconductors, 2 OR solid tyres, cyclist, RL F, TL F, LGL from RL to TL, cycle windshell, HD brakes, HD shocks, SWC. Cargo capacity 35 lbs, 1 space.

Shadowhawk
The Shadowhawk from Tower Security is a top-of-the-range cycle frequently used by the armed forces and police for covert surveillance. It is weak if caught on its own by day; by night, it is invisible, silent and attacks without revealing its position. If you are attacked by a Shadowhawk at night, either fire a starshell or flee, otherwise it will stay in the shadows and pick you to pieces
Shadowhawk: Heavy cycle with carbon-aluminium frame, OR suspension, medium cycle power plant with superconductors, 2 OR solid tyres, cyclist, 2 silenced MGs linked F, flaming oil discharger B, ABS, HD brakes, HD shocks, HRSWC, light amplification, stealth.
